In Paris I went to a dance at the British club & had a great time. I played some dances for them. Walking through Notre Dame I met one of the Bank boys, Johnnie Maddox. Paris is overrun with Yanks - their flag is everywhere & they run everything there. Their army seems to be one of Red Cross officials & YMCA men who have held the Paris front well.

I am going to try & get a couple of days leave to get up on to some of the old Somme battlefields & take some pictures. I believe trenches & all signs of war are fast disappearing. A chap just
