we like. Two of us took it in turns each day to cook & the keen competition brought forth some pretty fine & mysterious dishes.

We had Bill Franks with us this time & as he used to work in the Q.M.S. he often produced little dainties. We had a fine time - one wounded man in five days. You can hardly believe that for war, I suppose but it will show you how quiet things can get.

A Tommy officer passing one day heard the piano had a look & said "These damned Australians take the bun".

We were relieved a couple of days ago & are now back in the wood having swims & doing nothing generally.

Bubbles is still in the line & I haven't seen him since the first day here.
