Dear Mother

A mail came in today & I scored one from you Dad & Myra of 3/11/18 the first for a long time. They have taken two months to come. The main item was Rita Kirks concert. I'll bet she was "buck no end" at her success & you slipped a bit having the seats booked in anticipation. I like the "old & dear friends" too. It is marvellous what money does. That's what is called over here as "Putting over the bulsh" & "getting stung for a quid". Next letter I expect to hear about the visit of Johnnie Leah etc & the armistice in Sydney.

Well we have seen another Xmas in France & not a bad one either. On Xmas day we borrowed the village schoolroom & held our dinner there. It wasn't too bad at all, I am sending home the catalogue souvenired. The room was decorated with holly & fluff to represent snow - there happened to be none of the natural stuff about this year - we had tables & dinkum table cloths.
