Did you buy that bit of land in Alison Road? If you have & build there I don't suppose you would intend living there. I don't think I would fancy the possy much to live in.
Thank Mrs Dries for the socks in Mother's parcel - I did not get her parcel of socks, shortbread etc.
I suppose you have heard by this that our late Colonel has been decorated with the DSO. He is pleased too. Several of our officers have received V.C's lately. Heard from Doris yesterday - she has just received another addition to the family.
We are going to do another short spell in the line in a couple of days. Had a letter from Mlle Panaget from Paris the other day. I suppose everyone will be leaving there soon if Fritz gets any closer. I don't think he will ever get there. Foch will see to that. I hope
