Dear Mother,
Many thanks for three parcels which I have received lately the last today dated 25/10/18 - the other two contained two bonser cakes..
Just a few days ago we received the long awaited Aussie mail the first for seven weeks & I scored quite a bundle - two or three from home & four from Jeannie besides others. I was very sorry to hear of the death of Uncle Albert - what hard luck just as he was going into his new home - he must have have a fine business & I suppose the girls will be well provided for. I wrote to Elsie & the girls conveying my sympathy - the "peace" parcel was one of the first two parcels & with it Dad's note. What a wonderful time you all must have had at the celebrations. I would have given anything to be back in Old Sydney on that night. Amongst us it was
