Butterworth plays chief lady & is a fine singer. Dorothy Brunton has a minor part in Shanghai - Ivy Shilling chief danseur but Dorothy wasn't playing the night we went & after getting bored stiff came out after the first act - the play itself is very poor although produced at Drury Lane. For dinner we used to go to Frascatis & The Trocadero the flashest restaurants in London. This life would suit you down to the ground. Always in evening dress - dashing round in taxis - flash dinners music & people. To "live" in London for a week is worth while but it costs money. Jack & I got through just £5.10 together each day for five days so you will see you can't keep it up for long. It is wonderful though while it lasts. Such a galaxy & music brilliance, life & bustle makes your brain reel at the end of the week. Of course we were only two "bucks" on our own. What would it be with a mixed party.
