bearers which are actually our chaps. Roy Jamieson is in the photo but Jack & I were away with a stretcher case at the time. I was talking to one of our Sergeants the other day who lives in Waterloo & knows "Granny Ashton" & has often been to the Norths, knows the Browns & others.

I sent from Paris inter alia a parcel cont'g a Fritz cap & three souvenir paper knives - you do not say whether you received the knives. I received the photo you sent a few days ago - enlargements. They are very good except for my face which lacks detail but of course that can't be helped in an enlargement from small original.

I received your letter written from Nowra on New Year's Day. You must have had a bosker time with the Tressiders. I am going to take a few motor trips on when I get back. I have learned how to live over here & have the roving spirit.
