This stunt was conspicous by the absence of gas. We expected some of Fritz's new stuff but the weather conditions were unfavourable.

The weather has been pretty wet lately & the place is terribly muddy.

My latest job is carpentering so I am getting some experience in trades.

Have had our photos taken & they look all right but we are not allowed to send them through the post. I don't know how I can get them home. The late news has been pretty good - the prelude to a good deal I think.

I have a little souvenir for Miss Yeend but do not know how I can get it through - It has a name on it.

Jack & I have drawn fifth place for Paris leave so we ought to be there by the time you get this. I will have to get some money over from England. Jack has none available at present so I will
