yarn to them. While they were here a big batch of prisoners marched past HQrs, did the goose step & saluted. The salute was returned.
Jack & I are getting leave soon - in about a month's time. Will probably be there before you get this letter.
Have received any amount of letters lately including one from you but it is impossible to write to people these times.
If the advance ever stops I might get a bit of time then. I met Bill Kerr not long ago he was OK & just getting over Paris leave.
Am glad to hear Jacky likes school. Tell him I will send him home some souvenirs. Thanks for the extra £25. I might make a splash when I hit Blighty again after this long wait. I sent you home a paper explaining the Educational Scheme for during the war & after. It is impossible though for men in the fighting zone to take anything like that up during the war.
Things look particularly good at present & this year might see the finish. The weather is still good though getting a bit colder lately. We still wear shorts & get in our daily swim.
