invisible gass. But we have listening machines which hear the hiss of the gass leaving the cylinders & give notice. Then you have ten seconds to get on the mask. They say the mask is absolutely safe against gass attacks & very few men are now gassed. In fact when a man is gassed it is treated as a crime on his part for not having the mask handy & his pay is stopped while in hospital.
We heard lately that a naval fight took place in which 14 British ships were lost & the whole German fleet blown out of existance - nothing in the papers about it.
Much argument has been taking place in the papers lately. A supposed Anzac is supposed to have written about a letter to the papers complaining of the English girls - flappers. Many indignant replies have been written in answer. I think it is all fake to attract attention.
Am sending on a book on Stonehenge. It may be interesting.
