other day. The Staff Sgt under whom we were working got a DCM [Distinguished Conduct Medal] & the L/Cpl in charge of our squad got a M.M. There were a few others - mostly consolation prizes. The issue of military decorations is absolutely farcical. The infantry think so much of them that they take a tin of coffee & milk instead. It is practically impossible for us to deserve them compared to the infantry - we haven't the opportunity. There is some talk about leave. If it ever eventuates I intend spending a few days in Paris.
