The French girls are generally pretty, I thought a class above any I have seen yet but they paint & it doesn't seem to be regarded as vulgar. All you can see of a girl coming down the street is a pair of sparkling big eyes a pair of red lips & a pair of shapely legs for they wear short skirts & long boots tightly laced, hats low down on the forehead & a fur up round their chins. Their style is very smart - they all seem to dress well & don't overdress. The Frenchmen also dress very smartly. So much for the Parisians.
Now for Paris. It is a city of architectural beauty - not here and there but everywhere. The whole city is in perfect architectural harmony & there are no eyesores such as dingy or tumbledown buildings anywhere. And to think that the city is the growth of centuries & not the result of a single marvelous effort of town planning
