the money home to their people. One was of a family of 6 or 7 - father at the war - mother going out to work & several sisters out at service.
We asked him did he ever go home - he said no because he would get nothing to eat. They were very small & would not make boys of 9 & 10 in Australia.
We have leave for Saturday & are going to Bournemouth to hear Mark Hamburg.
No news yet about going to the front. Just received a p.c. from Billy he has got a job at the Aust H.Q. in London & thrown in the officers' school.
How would you like me to join the flying corps? I was seriously considering it the other day - they were inviting applications but no-one but a mechanic had any chance.
