wonderful coming from Australia. The French are very sentimental & anything like that they appreciate greatly. One old froggie lent the boys a big cart & carted their packs for them on the march at half a franc a time.

We will be here until after Xmas & expect to have a fair time. There are any amount of chicks & turkeys about.

By the way the name of the people we were with is "Mon & Mde Hiver, Neuville-au-bois, près de Oisemont, Somme, France. The card is Madame's with whom we are staying now.

We spend most of our time here attending school classes. We have an educational scheme within the unit. The teachers are drawn from the personnel. I am taking shorthand, book keeping & advanced French. At
