horribly cut about which I need not describe - but all the wounded were cheery & never a complaint from any. It was wonderful also how everyone was too ready to give way to the stretcher bearers & wounded along the trenches.
We finished carrying about 1 am that night & returned to the trenches to our dugouts pretty tired & quite ready to hop into the blankets. At the dressing station the doctors were going all night.
