Dear Mother,

We are still in the same place as when I wrote Dad & Myra last & are having a fine time. This village is very much knocked about as are all the villages round about here & we were very lucky to find a house with a roof on to live in. We are in an old farm house which has been patched up by the Germans & made fairyly waterproof. They had made a fine room out of the stables on the farm & this we cleaned out & turned into a ball room. We had the old piano souvenired at the last village & put up a stage chipped the ridges out of the floor & the room was complete. Then we held a fancy dress ball & this was the greatest success of anything in the social life of the unit.

All the pierrot shows from the district lent us costumes besides what were made
