up against the walls are tables & chairs for the wine drinkers. In one corner stands the "orchestra" jingling out a two step or waltz while the barman with shirt sleeves rolled up winds it up & in the other corner the bar. The barmans wife & daughters provide the partners & if there are not enough women the men dance with themselves. All this is quite a matter of course & is taken so it is not an invention for soldieres & not looked upon as we see it - a huge muck-up. We were sorry to leave this lively little village as we knew
