The news of Fritz's advances seems to have shocked the Sydney people some but you know better now. It ought to shake up some of the long thinkers. Carmichael seems to have given recruiting a bit of an impetus. Rather a coincidence that I was wearing Car's steel helmet for a time. He came through our dressing stn. wounded & of course dumped his tin hat. I acquired it then & was wearing it for some time & some one else acquired it from me.
