Thursday 15 March 1917
Up at 8.30. Very thick mist. To aerodrome at 9.30. No flying at first. Went up in the 2E to test the weather which was hopeless. Back to lunch at mess. To aerodrome again in afternoon. Cleared a bit about 3 & we got some flying done till 5.30 p.m. Rode back to the mess on my bike which was just finished. Made some adjustments to it before dinner and tested it. It is going splendidly. Played Vingt et Un after dinner & lost 18/-.
