Sunday 11 November 1917
Up at 9. To office to arrange about getting to Beaulieu. Spent the morning packing up. Sgt. Lincoln died of his injuries. Left in a tender after tea. Bridgland crashed my pet Fighter just as I was leaving! Went to the Rectory & said good bye to the Vidals. Caught the 6.15 train. Had to wait an hour at Kemble! Arrived at Paddington at 11 p.m. Taxi to 9 Porchester Terrace & waited for the family to come in. Yarned till 12.30 & then to bed.
Gilbert has leave till Thursday.
