Wednesday 23 May 1917
Up at 6 for early flying. A very nice day. Gave Judge & Saunders dual. Down to breakfast at 11. Back to aerodrome at 12. Gave Judge more dual. Lunch about 2.30 & back to aerodrome. Colonel Hogg came up for a trip in the dual RE. Gave Saunders a bit more dual. Put Judge in front seat & flew over Hampton Court & Hounslow. Sent him off solo about 7. He did very well. McArdle did in 3174 our best RE landing. Did over five hours dual in RE8 during the day! A most satisfactory day's work. Down to dinner at 9.30.
