Tuesday 13 February 1917
Very tired – slept late. Went to the Bank but no letters. Met Jack Breman at the Bank of N.S.W. Taxi with him to Trafalgar Square. To Cox & Co. to look at my account & then met Brendan at Strand Palace. Lunch with Winkley, Harris & Foster at Simpson's. After lunch Brendan & I took a taxi to Harrods & saw Roger's Cross, which is very nice & simple. Bought a suit case & other things & then by taxi to the Bank & the Junior Army & Navy Stores & back to the pub. Sorted some of my kit. Brendan & I to the Junior Constitutional & met Harris & Wakefield & went to dinner at the Savoy. Then to see "Theodore & Co.", a splendid show. Supper at the Picadilly & taxi back to bed.
