Monday 11 June 1917
Up at 8.30. To aerodrome. Went off at 10.15 leading a formation. Went to Yatesbury & then on to Upavon & back to Oxford. Arrived back about 2.30 & had lunch about 3. Tested an RE8 about three times during the evening. Had a swim after tea. At aerodrome till 9.45 p.m.
Elliot has gone & I am in command of "C" Flight.
Letter from Aunty saying Bryan went over at 1 p.m. on Thursday at Wytchaete & up to 24 hours after was all right. Please God he will be all right.
Etheridge crashed a 2E landing. About 3 hours flying during day.
