Monday 18 June 1917
Up at 5.30 for early flying. Gave Barnes dual on RE. He smashed my undercarriage doing practice landings. Gave Churchward landings too. Breakfast about 10.30 after a swim. In afternoon tested a machine & gave Hearn some landings. Did about 3 hours in all.
Old 6251 from No. 10 turned up flown by a pupil from Yatesbury – what a sad dilapidated old thing it is. Elliot flew over in RE8. Left the aerodrome about 10 for dinner. To bed after.
