Thursday 9 August 1917
Very windy & low clouds in morning. Up about 10. Loafed most of morning. Went to Oxford with Sly before lunch. In afternoon went up three times to test the weather and also took some photos & gave dual to Mollett. Back to dinner about 9.30. Made a noise in camp after dinner. Ragged Sly's tent. He & Buckeridge pulled George Mitchell's & my tents down about 3.30 a.m.!
Wire to say Bryan is wounded (not seriously) & is in the same room in hospital with Maurice. What luck!
