Sunday 4 March 1917
Up at 8. To aerodrome after breakfast. Very cold day. Didn't get off till 11.30 so couldn't go to Mass. Changed & had lunch & then by sidecar to East Croydon station & caught the 1.41 train to Brighton. Went to 64 Marine Parade. They had all gone out for a drive, so I left my bag & went out for a stroll along the front. Met old Foster & yarned with him. Had afternoon tea at the Albion Hotel & then walked back to 64. Aunty, the girls & Bryan came in about 5.30. Awfully bucked to see them again. Walter Mathews & his wife & "Beau" Bull came to dinner & we yarned afterwards. To bed about 11.15 p.m.
