Monday 31 December 1917
Up at 9. Very "dud" in morning. Did Gunnery. Cleared in afternoon. Took three observers up for short trips – loops & rolls, etc. Got rid of our RE8's at last, thank goodness. Now we can settle down to work. A grand mail from home.
