Monday 15 October 1917
Up at 6.30. Only a little flying before breakfast as a fog came down. Feeling pretty rotten with a cold. A lot of flying all the rest of the day though I only made two short tests myself. We broke the squadron record by doing over 40 hours in the day. In the evening drove to Barnsley Park with Segrave, Curtis, Wright & Davis to dinner. Had a most cheery evening dancing & playing "Sardines". Back to bed about 2 a.m.!
