Thursday 15 November 1917
A lovely fine day. Up at 7 for early flying. Gave much dual during the day and got quite a fair amount of work done. Made three separate attempts to test an engine which just lasted long enough to get me round each time. In the evening flew Stuart over to Gosport and flew back alone. We got about 30 hours done by the squadron for the day – probably its record! To bed early after dinner.
Pair of sleeping socks from Mother.
