Sunday 30 September 1917
Up at 10. Could not get a lift to Oxford in time to go to Mass. Graham took me to Luxton's about 1 o'clock. Had lunch there & sat out in the garden after. A lovely afternoon – like a Sunday afternoon at home! After tea they all came to the aerodrome to see us off. Started about 5.30 & arrived at Rendcomb about 6. Yarned after supper & then to bed.
Another pair of socks from Mother.
Poor little McArdle is missing.
