Friday 2 February 1917
Up at 9. Very cold again but clear. It was 26° of frost last night. Loafed in the morning. Went up at 2.5 p.m. with Burrell. Registered "Admit" North on Ferme de Biez. Spotted an "archie" in Aubers. Went over & located the gun pits & dropped 2 bombs on Aubers. They didn't fire at us. Was kept waiting to get into the aerodrome by the new flight commander & then he landed beside me. I was very angry & told him what I thought. Farewell dinner at "B" Flight to Winkley who goes tomorrow. Bond went today.
