Saturday 10 November 1917
Up at 7.30 To 8 Mass & Holy communion with Cicely. After breakfast went off in a taxi to Cox & Co., Daly's Theatre, Les Gobelins, Mappin & Webb, & Burns & Oates. Bought a silver pencil as a present from Eueen & Peter to replace the one Roger gave me which is lost. Back to Porchester Terrace & picked up Margaret & Gilbert & drove to Paddington. Margaret & I caught the 11.20 to Cirencester. By taxi to Barnsley & had some lunch about 2 p.m. Drove to the aerodrome. I am posted to Beaulieu & leave tomorrow. Sgt. Lincoln had a bad smash in a Fighter this morning and is very severely injured. Went to dinner at Barnsley Park & danced afterwards. Back to bed about 12.30.
