Saturday 7 July 1917
Up at 9.30. Very misty in early morning. Blowing a gale nearly all day. Wrote letters & worked on the bike. Gave dual to Wakeham & Shaver in the evening. Back to dinner at 10. A big daylight raid on London today. All sorts of rumours about. Apparently much damage done. I hope Aunty & the girls were nowhere in it.
