Sunday 25 March 1917
Up at 9. Dull misty day. To aerodrome after breakfast. Went off to 10.30 Mass at Wallington. Back to aerodrome at 12 but no flying. After lunch went up to aerodrome again but it was still too misty. Cleared after tea & became beautifully fine. Took James up for a trip in the RE8 before he went solo. Campbell also did his solo in the RE8. Back to the "Dell" about 6.30. Stayed in & went to bed fairly early. There are wild rumours of a German landing on the east coast!
