Friday 23 March 1917
Up at 9. To aerodrome after breakfast. Very cold & windy with occasional snow. A little flying between the dull patches. Back to aerodrome after lunch. Some flying in afternoon. Wind dropped and the weather was quite nice towards dusk. Made about three flights during the day. Did not leave the aerodrome till half past six. After dinner went with C.O., Williams, Burt and Turnbull to the Croydon Empire to see "Joyland". A pretty poor show.
Wire from Brendan who goes to France next Thursday.
