Sunday 26 August 1917
Up at 6 for early flying. Gave some dual to Beadle & tested a machine. Back to breakfast about 9. Rode into Oxford on motor bike & went to 9.30 Mass. Met Jim McKay after Mass – the first time I've seen him since Riverview days! Back to camp & went for a sail with Sanders till lunch time. After lunch sailed up to King's Wier & had tea & then sailed back. A very good afternoon in spite of the rain. Got soaking wet so then changed & had more tea. To bed soon after dinner.
