Wednesday 27 June 1917
Up at 6 for early flying. Gave Burnes some landings & he did a good solo. Breakfast about 10.30. Lunch at 1.30. At aerodrome till 8 when I went off to dinner with the C.O. He drove me back later to the camp. A good day's work. I only did about an hour & a half but the flight total was 12 hours 50. Another new flight commander posted here. I suppose that means I loose my lose my RE8's. Father sent me the splendid article dear old Roger wrote on Groote Schurr.
