Wednesday 12 September 1917
Up at 6.30 for early flying. Breakfast at 9. Back to sheds & worked on Committee of adjustment all the morning. After lunch back to the sheds. Went to North Cerney Church with Sharpe & others about Major Bannatyne's funeral tomorrow. Back to tea.
In evening got in some flying, till 8 p.m. Made various tests of BEs & also a flight in an RE8. Broke a centre section strut landing. Yarned after dinner & then to bed.
Mollet has arrived as my assistant instructor.
