Wednesday 17 January 1917
Breakfast in bed. Up about 10.
Snowed during last night & all day – about four inches. Saw Gordon & Wadlow off about 11. Walked round towards Hinges with Garland, Burrell, Waldron & the dogs. Back to lunch. Loafed in afternoon. Played poker before dinner & again after – finished a few francs to the good.
Cable from home. All well, thank God!
