Friday 16 February 1917
Very tired. Got up about 10 & finished my packing. Taxi to the Bank. Posted Roger's letters & photos to Eileen. Then to Cox & Co. & cashed a cheque. Back to hotel to lunch & taxi to Waterloo. Caught the 2 p.m. to Bournemouth West arriving at 4.52. Winkley met me & we went to the Bourne Hall Hotel where his mother & father are staying. Had some tea & then went out to the rink & had a short skate. Back to dinner & off to the local theatre with the Winkleys. Saw Martin Harvey in "David Garrick". He was good but the leading lady was awful.
