Sunday 11 February 1917
Up at 5.30. Breakfast in bed & off at 6.30 in tender with Harris & Selwyn. Missed the tender at the wing but caught it up at 10th Wing. A good run to Boulogne in spite of many detours to avoid the snowdrifts. Arrived at Boulogne at 9.45 & enquired about boat. Breakfast again at the Hotel Folkstone & then back to the boat. Sailed at 11.30. Lunch in the train. Arrived London at 3.30. Harris got Minna across alright in a canvas bag. Cab to the flat & found Aunty & the girls in. They look much better & brighter. Brendan came in later. Maurice has gone to Lydd. Auntie & the girls go to Brighton tomorrow. After dinner I got all my kit etc. round to the Thackeray Hotel where Brendan is staying & took a room. It is great to be back again with Aunty & the others. I am so glad that everyone will be so relieved of anxiety on my account.
