Tuesday 29 May 1917
Up at 9. Very foggy hot day. To aerodrome. Printed photos in morning. Went to Croydon with Pethy before lunch. Very thundery & dull in afternoon. Cleared a bit about 5 & I got in some dual with Baldwin. Started to blow hard & rain later. Left the aerodrome about 8.30 as there was no hope of it clearing up.

Letter to Garland.
