Saturday 22 December 1917
Up at 8.30. After breakfast waited till Segrave picked us up & went to the aerodrome about 11. Eventually started about 2 p.m. in cloudy weather. Segrave turned back at Morton on Marsh & Glanville followed him. I went on through thick weather and got to Lilbourne after 1 hour & 5 minutes. Had some tea & lunch combined at 4 p.m. Walked back to the aerodrome with Wren. To bed fairly early after dinner. Davis & Whistance are down about 5 miles away. Whitmore & Sgt. Rattray are here. Rather bad luck having to go just as Margaret was arriving at the Rectory for Xmas but it was up to someone to get on here.
