Saturday 29 September 1916Up at 6 for early flying. Gave Gwyer dual on RE8 and he did a good solo before breakfast. A good day's flying as the weather was beautiful & warm. Left about 5.45 in a BE with Mollet & "Girlie" & flew to Oxford. Had supper with the Luxtons. Slept in the camp. The flight's time for the day was over 20 hours. Swayne charged into a hangar in a BE & smashed his machine. That mad Russian Bernson at Oxford has looped the RE8.
