out made of gold. The roof is inlaid with gold, the tombs are inlaid with gold. Expense time and patience required for a worker are apparently of no consequence.
The doors are made of sandal-wood inlaid with ivory and ebony. One pair of doors are sixty feet high, and yet it does not look out of place at all.

On the opposite side of the road, is another large mosque, known as the Sultan Hassan Mosque. Most mosques have a minaret. The minaret on this particular mosque is the loftiest in existence. It is 280 feet high. The outside walls are one hundred feet high and
