The machine turned right over & I made sure the pilot would be hurt so sent a couple of SBs (stretcher bearers) over at the double. When they got there, they found the pilot cheerfully crawling out from under - quite unhurt & taking the whole thing as a matter of course & part of the days work. I takes off my hat to the flying men. We put the pilot up in our billet until a lorry came to take him & his machine back to the base. A few minutes after he landed, his mate came circling round like a huge hawk & presently landed in a small field. When he found no one hurt off he went again to let the base know.
