My dear Mother
Still in Hospital, but getting on fine. Have been able to look round London €“ a little each day. Was only tested yesterday to see if I am a "Carrier". So it will probably be a few days before I hear the results.
You have often heard me speak of Haywood at Emmaville. Before leaving there I promised to look up his people should I ever get to England. Yesterday afternoon I went to Wandsworth to see them. Strange to say they had received a little time before an Emmaville paper mentioning my name. They gave it to me, but I will send it on to you as I do not want it. Seems a long trip for a country "rag", Aust to England and back again.
So soon as I get time I will send you a few curios, coins etc that I managed to
