We now have our H.Q. mess going & we are very comfortable. The members are Lt. Col. Logan - Group Commander, Lt. Col. Dare - attached to us for Court Martial work for the whole of this district. He has nothing to do with the group, but as we are living in divisional Head Quarters he, with several others, has been attached for accomodation & rations, etc. Before Howell Price was made Col. he was the youngest Col. in the Aust Force & now that Howell Price has been killed, he is again the youngest Col., Maj. Furber - Senior Medical Officer for this district, Capt. Lewis €“ General Staff Officer (G.S.O.) for this group. He is an imperial man & belongs to the Royal West Kent Regiment. He was on the front at the beginning of the war & remained there for a long time. His left hand has been badly knocked about & his thumb & 2 fingers are missing.
