My dear Mother,
Eric has come & gone again. He was here from Monday night to Thursday morning. I am awfully glad that he was able to come down to see us both. Now he will be able to tell you all about Jane. He is awfully good too, because I could not get away, so on Tuesday he took Jane into Salisbury, & on Wednesday to Stonehenge. Naturally Jane is in love with him. Eric showed me your last photo. It is very good indeed. The one you sent me has not turned up yet. I do hope it is not lost, for it is long overdue.
Eric is looking as fit as ever. If his boat goes round to Swansea & he has the time he is going north to stay with Mrs. M. for a few days. I hope he is able to go, for I know he will enjoy Scot.
