Cairo I believe there is practically nothing left of Mena Camp at all. All the mess sheds, shops etc have been taken down and sent elsewhere.

I received a letter from Jack Atkinson the other day saying the mine intended paying a dividend and very likely several more before the end of the year. This is good news. Harry has probably collected before now. Don't forget to make use of it if you require it. I thought it would not be long before a dividend was paid because the mine was opening up well before I left. From the tone of Jack's letter there is plenty of work there with the prospect of a lot more. He says he wants me back. How am I to do that, do you know?

I believe Ron Hinder will soon be across here. I have never met him, but I think you have mentioned his name several times. He is a friend of the Marshs' is he not ? A great friend of his is in "A" Company  €“ Eric Wran. The latter is a splendid fellow and gave up his course at the Univ. to come here. He is also a Champion tennis player having represented N.S.W. against some of the other states.

Excuse pencil but my ink supply is so low I am keeping it to address envelopes only. If you are sending a parcel include a bottle of "Swan Fountain" ink please. One of those in a wooden box so it won't break in my pack.

Love to all. Your affec. son, Ralph.
